IP Australia will increase their official fees for important trademark, patent and design services effective as of 1 October 2020.


What fees are increasing?

There are many increases in the official fees relating to patent, design and trade mark matters.

  • Patents: There is an increase in the excess claim and renewal fees.

  • Trade Marks: There is an increase in the application filing costs if you do not use the ‘pick-list’ and Hearing costs.

  • Designs: There is an increase in the renewal costs and including more than one design in the application.
